Brunch sounds so much more appealing than leftovers! Since it’s all new to you – enjoy!
The backing fabric for my Sew Modern Bee quilt finally arrived. It took almost 6 weeks. Good thing I ordered it early. It’s from the Pillow Maxfield Whimsy line. My husband picked it out – it is going to be a quilt for him. It’s the first time I bought 9 yards of one fabric!! {It was on sale at Hancocks}
I’ve started a flickr group for people to show off their placemats and other things they make from my tutorials.
Here’s the link – I’ve also added it to my sidebar.
Do you have a different blogging routine on the weekends? I do. The main blogs I check out daily are listed in my sidebar, but I do have other favourites that I don’t check in on as frequently.
Here are a few I’ve been enjoying recently:
Judy’s Journal – she’s a local textile artist on Manitoulin Island
MODKIDBOUTIQUE – Checking in with Patty Young, great, bright, fun fabric
Piece O’ Cake blog – Great insights and colour inspirations
Sue Garman – for pure applique inspiration
That should be enough for this week! Maybe I’ll reveal a couple again next Sunday.
My scissors photo for Pat Sloan’s Challenge –I’ll take a photo of just about anything to win a prize!
I hope to be back in the sewing swing of things this week. I’m relieved that the ankle I twisted on Friday {the 13th} is just strained. It’s all wrapped up. I’m glad I started practicing using my left foot at the sewing machine. Looks like my back up foot is on duty for a couple of weeks.
With Joy,
Sarah Vee
