Make Monday Motivate You!

Make Monday Motivate You!
Yesterday afternoon I was trying to decide what project I could start so I would have something to share today! Here it is:

It’s the beginning of a stash string project. I’m making my nephew a placemat for his birthday later this month. Each square is being made on a 3 1/2 inch foundation. I have planned to make his first initial “N” have squares with the strips going across. The filler blocks will have the strips on the diagonal. I was inspired by Stephanie’s No Strings Attached challenge.

I also looked back and saw that I didn’t share my tidied up over the door shoe holder. It had become a great place to stash stuff I never wanted to find again.

Now I’ve gone through and labelled what’s in the pockets. I put small bunches of fabrics in ziplop bags with notes as to what they are set aside for. I put all my own templates in the brown envelope you can see sticking up – and wrote on the outside what’s in it. I’m hoping to use the little projects here as inspiration – to play with and maybe make some doll quilts or tablerunners with them.

I also got the binding onto my Forest wallhanging. Perhaps my finish for the week?
Still to do this morning – get my next Birthday Basket quilt panel ready.

See what the others are up to at Judy’s blog this morning.
Are you ready for another week of fabric and fun? I am! Of course, I’m drinking my coffee as I write this:)

With Joy,
Sarah Vee
