My new quilting space is getting a lot of use and still getting organized. I’m learning the difference between storing stuff and having a system for getting to stuff I use frequently.
See this desk tray? My daughter helped fill it up while unpacking my space. It fits really nicely in the corner table space between my machine and cutting table.
But it’s just storing stuff I had organized in different ways before – and it gets buried quickly!
I realized when I first when searching for thread in my new space that it would be great to have it stored closer to the machine. I pulled open the far left drawer of my cutting table and eyed that desk tray.
Can you guess what I did next?
Yes, the tray fits perfectly! It is holding two layers of thread right now.
Once I get more thread, I will store less frequently used spools elsewhere.
For now I’m pretty satisfied with my new system for organizing thread – and the space it freed up on my table!
Now I need a system for organizing all the papers I pulled out of this drawer!LOL!
Are you storing stuff or do you have systems in place to make using your stuff easier?
With Joy,
Sarah Vee
